12 Zombie Novellas.
Welcome to Infected Books’ YEAR OF THE ZOMBIE.
To celebrate 15 years since the publication of Infected Books’ first novel, David Moody’s Autumn, we’re declaring 2016 YEAR OF THE ZOMBIE.
We’ve signed up 11 authors, many of whom you’ll know from having penned your favourite zombie horror bestsellers, to write a novella each. We’ll be releasing one novella every month throughout 2016.
But wait – 11 authors? Didn’t we say 12 novellas? That’s because we’re reserving a spot to give to a brand new voice in zombie fiction – could that be you?
Yes, as part of YEAR OF THE ZOMBIE, we’ll be running a very special Pitch & Page comp via the Infected Books facebook page. The comp will be judged by our very own Dragon’s-Den-esque panel of bestselling horror author and IB head honcho, David Moody, US literary agent, Gina Panettieri and Micheal Preissl of German & English language publisher, Voodoo Press. The winner will join our 11 established authors to have their novella released as part of Infected Books’ YEAR OF THE ZOMBIE. How cool is that?
And if that ain’t enough, we’ll have a few more surprises along the way, as well as a heap of zombie-themed prizes and giveaways courtesy of our sponsors.
So hang onto your hair, kids.
2016 is YEAR OF THE ZOMBIE.
And it’s going to be brutal.
This month sees the release of the German language edition of our bestselling crime novella THE GIRL IN THE BASEMENT by Wayne Simmons. One of several titles acquired by Voodoo Press, THE GIRL IN THE BASEMENT (aka Das Mädchen im Keller) is available now to German language readers on e-book. Click here for more details.
Or if you missed the English language edition, why not grab it here for the super-low price of 99p.
Thanks to Michael Preissl over at Voodoo for his support and to Sion Smith for a great job on that cover.
There’s been a lot happening behind the scenes at IB Towers and today we’re delighted to reveal one of those things: we’ve just signed with Michael Preissl to sell foreign language rights of Infected Books titles.
Some of you will know Michael as chief of genre publisher, Voodoo Press, who have of course snapped up the German language rights of several Infected Books titles. We’re thrilled to now have Michael on board to pitch IB titles to other European countries and beyond.
Stay tuned for more news on this and other exciting developments at IB!
The covers of two Infected Books titles picked up for translation into German language have been revealed by publisher Voodoo Press. The first will be quite familiar to IB readers, being a riff on the original cover of Wayne Simmons’ THE GIRL IN THE BASEMENT (designed by Sion Smith) while the other cover, designed by Michael Preissl, makes for a completely different take on David Moody’s TRUST.
We’ll bring you more details on these, and other Infected Books titles picked up by Voodoo for translation, as we get it.
We’re very pleased to announce that Infected Books is partnering with Voodoo Press to make our titles available in German. Contracts have been exchanged for TRUST, STRAIGHT TO YOU and THE GIRL IN THE BASEMENT. We’ll let you know the planned release dates as soon as we have them.
